The Profiteer, a minicomic I made with Neal Stoddard about a middle management superhero, was just reviewed by Richard Krauss at Midnight Fiction.
The Estonian edition of FHM is clearly more hip than the American one. In March, they featured an article on 20 webcomics! And Herman the Manatee was one of them – how classy is that? Huge thanks to Gurukitty for the scan.
Thanks to everyone we met at Stumptown! We had a great time and I absolutely loved Portland. I drew a sketchbook comic about the trip and just posted it to my LiveJournal.
In two weeks I will be at the Stumptown Comics Fest in Portland, Oregon with fellow Manatee Power Engineer Neal Stoddard. We’ll have books, CDs and Shrinky Dinks for sale at table 133 – if you are going, keep an eye out for us! I’m really looking forward to the trip; I’ve never been to Portland but my brother-in-law lives there and he has promised to show me how cool it is.

Herman the Manatee Volume I is now available for $3 in the Manatee Power store! Now you can take a little collection of Herman strips with you wherever you go – put it in your pocket when you are hiking, carry it in your purse for when you are waiting on line at the bank, or leave it in your glove compartment for roadside emergencies! Never again will you be caught without an adorable reminder of life’s absurd cruelties. It also makes a charming gift for your boyfriend or schoolteacher or the other folks in your life who don’t read comics when they are illuminated on a screen. This is a long time coming; many of you have asked for t-shirts, some have asked for propaganda posters, others have asked for velvet paintings, and so it is without hesitation that I give you… a book! Which nobody asked for. But I hope you enjoy it anyway.
