I’m wondering why Herman considers the idea that “life isn’t random” to be an optimistic one.
In a random universe in which boats keep hitting you then each THUNK is an isolated incident, and each string of THUNKs is just coincidence. That also means that each one is just as likely not to happen and it could stop at any time. If, on the other hand, these are not random bonks on the head then you must acknowledge that a pattern is starting to emerge. That pattern, Herman, is a lot easier to decipher than you make it out to be.
I thought it was spelled “decipher.” But lovely strip anyways! You should have omitted the lines in the last panel and let us figure it out ourselves! ;D
Herman the Manatee will delight your whole family in his zany attempts to go about his business before getting maimed by an outboard motorboat. Laugh along as he manages to find himself in trouble again and again! Will that silly manatee never learn?
Someone is trying to send Herman a clear message.
Great punchline, and that last panel is lovely!
Sometimes destiny has its own limits for certain individuals… don’t push it Herman… please…

Stupid manatee.

Fixed the spelling – thanks Griffin.
More evidence that god hates manatees.
That’s right Herman. One of these days, Herman… Bang, zoom. Straight to the moon!
With a thunk!
