So… what’s the true story on incidental catch while shrimping?
Unfortunately this is pretty true… I’m not sure any narwhals have been caught, but there are a ton of fish, including porpoises, sharks, turtles, right whales, bluefin tuna, marlins, dolphins, albatross, starfish, seals, rays… an average of 27 million tons of fish discarded as bycatch every year. Not just when trawling for shrimp, but shrimp tops the list. Man, Herman is getting so depressing!!
